God does not waste time with headaches and hangnails. When staring at the Red Sea, Moses told the people: “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today!”
He that is Invisible loves dealing with the impossible. It is a GOOD THING when have mountains on either side of us, an enemy behind us and a sea before us. It is a GOOD THING when we find ourselves in a situation that is overwhelming and impossible. When God blesses us with NEED, He will bless us with FAITH. The greatest hindrance to FAITH is lack of NEED. Faith to see the Invisible works really well in desperate situations.
Faith can move mountains. Jesus didn’t mention anthills. Jesus never healed a mild headache. Our Lord dealt with the impossible cases. Americans don’t like impossible situations. We can fix anything. So when God gives us an opportunity to exercise great faith, we often set it aside for a fleshly fix. We rob ourselves of the chance to see Him who is Invisible. There is little sense in saying “I believe” if you already have an alternative plan in mind. Faith works best when there is no other way out. Faith is strongest when you are completely hemmed in on all sides with NO escape plan, NO backup plan. Dare we pray for the opportunity to be completely shut up into some impossible situation? Only if we want to see Him who is Invisible. For without faith it is impossible to please Him who deals in the Impossible. For all those who come to God must believe that He is. And if we really believe He is, then we will know Him as the “I AM”. Then, next time we face an impossible situation and ask ourselves “Can God?”, we look up and see Him who is Invisible and say “He is able!”
Prayer: May I know you as the God who is able. May I never lean unto my own understanding, but in all my ways seek to see You who are Invisible.
